Timber Timbre, the enigmatic brainchild of Toronto, ON's Taylor Kirk, has inked a deal with Canadian indie powerhouse Arts & Crafts, who will give the songwriter's recently released self-titled album a much-deserved reissue this summer.
After originally being released in January through Toronto upstart Out of This Spark, the album is already available digitally over at Arts & Crafts' webshop and on June 30 will receive a physical re-release in Canada, and be available in the rest of the world on July 28.
"Bry Webb from the Cons turned me onto the Timber Timbre record and I immediately fell in love with it," says Arts & Crafts president Jeffrey Remedios in the press release. "I went to acquaint [Broken Social Scene's] Kevin Drew and he simultaneously tried to tell me. We both knew we had to try and tell the world about Timber Timbre and we're honoured he's giving us a chance to do just that."
Along with scooping up Timber Timbre, Arts & Crafts has also signed a new distribution partnership with Out of This Spark, which serves as the home for artists such as Forest City Lovers, Jenny Omnichord and the D'Urbervilles.
