Jay-Z's Roc Nation is extending its grip into the realm of post-hardcore, as the latest band the company has signed to a management deal is California quintet Touché Amoré.
The move was announced today (March 12) on the Roc Nation website, with a post welcoming the band to the fold. Following that, Touché Amoré confirmed the deal over on Facebook, writing: "We are honored to join the Roc Nation management family."
Following a series of shocked responses from fans — including concerned quips like "The fuck," "Lol wtf" and a few frowning emojis — the band reiterated that this is not a record deal, but a management deal. At the moment, the group are still attached to Deathwish Inc., with whom they'd just issued their Self Love 7-inch with Self Defense Family.
