Tricky Postpones U.S. Tour Due to Visa Problems, Adds Toronto Date

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 7, 2013

There's some good news and bad news from the Tricky camp today (June 7). Starting with the bad, the trip-hop vet has unfortunately pushed all of his upcoming U.S. dates to later this fall due to some work visa troubles. It turns out that the planning gaffe works out in Canada's favour, though, as he's added a Toronto performance to the revamped tour schedule.

The U.S. dates had originally been booked for later this month, but they've now been bumped to October. U.S. fans should hold onto their ticket stubs, as they'll be honoured on the fall trip.

As for the lone Canadian appearance, a venue has yet to be announced, but the newly unveiled itinerary notes that Tricky hits Toronto on October 6.

"I'm really sorry to have to tell you that I have to postpone the forthcoming U.S. dates," Tricky said in a statement. "It is a situation that is completely beyond my control due to a U.S. visa issue. All I can do is go through the proper channels and secure the right visa. I hope you'll bear with me and I'll make sure that the rescheduled shows are worth the wait."
