The Twilight Sad

"Kill It in the Morning"

It's been ages since we heard from anthemic Scots the Twilight Sad, with the band's last full-length being 2009's much-loved Forget the Night Ahead. But that's soon set to change. Come February 2012, the group will release their third LP, No One Can Ever Know, and we already have a new album track to sink our teeth into.

Dubbed "Kill It in the Morning," the new song can be streamed below and downloaded at the band's website.

For better or worse, the song definitely finds the band changing gears, with a more '80s-influenced, cold wave thing going on. And apparently we can expect more of that on the full-length.

The PR states: "The No One Can Ever Know marks a sonic shift for the Twilight Sad -- though of course, they maintain their trademark darkness and depth -- with moments reminiscent of the most innovative offerings of Depeche Mode, the Cure, or even Nine Inch Nails."

While we can hear "Kill It in the Morning" now, "Sick" will be the first official single from the album and will be released digitally November 15.

No One Can Ever Know will be released via FatCat Records.
