While most purveyors of new school rap metal don't have a clue what good rap or good metal (and no, that's not an oxymoron) are, this quartet from suburban Toronto has not only the knowledge but the skills to put it into practice. This seven-track EP picks up where their debut, Codename: Snake-Eyes, left off. Dropping Kool Keith-like raps on top of Quicksand-esque melodic groove rock is a match made in heaven. Solid, intense and inspired, Quest for Expansion will remind you just how talentless and derivative Korn and Limp Bizkit really are. Honourable mention goes to Matthew Daley for Van Gogh/Dali-inspired cover art.
