Brazilectro Session 7

BY Sergio ElmirPublished Oct 1, 2005

The Brazilectro series has always prided itself in accumulating exclusive tracks by some of the world’s best known contemporary artists who have been inspired by Brazil’s rich musical history, alongside gems from Brazil’s best known artists and remixers. In Brazilectro Session 7, we are treated to a collection of bossa and samba flavoured cuts and remixes from some of today’s best. Check out a chilled out Quantic Soul Orchestra with "Feeling Good,” Fertile Ground’s bossa flavoured soul on "Yellow Daisies,” Bebel Gilberto’s neo-bossa "Aganju,” the samba-funk of Richard Dorfmeister’s "Valldemossa,” the slick and soulful "E Depois” by BiD featuring Brazilian crooner Seu Jorge and a tweaked, broken beat flavoured remix of Azymuth’s classic "Pieces of Ipanema.” This seventh instalment of the Brazilectro is a double-CD full of laidback and groovy cuts basking in the Brazilian sun that will put anyone in the mood for a night at the beach. Fans of Brazilian flavoured chill out music will not be disappointed.
