Fuzzy Boombox V.2

BY Kevin HaineyPublished May 1, 2004

Who could’ve known New Jersey’s Fuzzy Box Records has been around since 1994? Has it really been ten whopping years since Flowchart’s Sean O’Neal first began releasing atmospheric electronic music from around the world? Well it has, and Fuzzy Box is celebrating by releasing this second instalment in the Fuzzy Boombox compilation series. This means a full 74 minutes packed with 17 songs from as many artists for the cosy electronics lover to cuddle up with. Warm and intriguing cuts from (Zenas)Prime, Carlito Verde, Stars As Eyes, Celsius, Manhattan Hands and Amp are stand-outs on a collection with no real lows. Though there’s not really anything here that could constitute another electro revolution, it’s nice to know that folks aren’t giving up the ghost in the machine.
