Punk Goes Acoustic

BY Jasamine White-GluzPublished Dec 1, 2003

The third instalment in the Fearless Records Punk Goes... series is a lot less hokey than the Punk Goes Metal and Punk Goes Pop releases. Some show-stopping tracks include Thursday’s symphonic version of "A Hole in the World” and Grade’s tear jerking "Gathering Darkness.” Some nice surprises on here too, like the beautifully joyless "Letters to You” by Finch. Although it is a slow moving record, it’s interesting to hear some punk and emo favourites slightly reworked. Keep your ears open for the barely recognisable "Cute without the E” from Taking Back Sunday and the super dramatic "Trust” by Thrice.
