Five tracks and 17 minutes. Thats it for this incredibly bouncy and earnest slice of skitterish pop and jerky post-punk. But dont worry, its plenty of time for Voxtrot to show that they are a band to definitely look out for. While not as classically poppy as their complementary Raised by Wolves EP, the urgency here easily gets the blood boiling. The title track is nothing short of brilliant; with a voice similar to Ben Gibbards, but without the emo-ish pleading, this song just takes off with a cascading guitar and perfect pulsing drums. While some music may take its time to grow on you, the music on this EP actually takes little time to work its magic. Between the title track and the organ and drum-driven "Soft & Warm, some may moan "oh, its so indie it hurts, but they would probably be looking over the dancing masses of people who, like everyone else, cant just stop moving their feet to Voxtrots mastery of addictive melody.
