Wale

"MVP (Bryce Harper)"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Dec 16, 2015

Baseball season may be off until the spring, but Washington, DC rapper Wale is giving his beloved Nationals some love with a new tune dedicated to outfielder Bryce Harper. Considering the player was voted National League MVP this year, the tune comes with the most fitting title, "MVP (Bryce Harper)."

A gothic boom of drums and choir vocals are part of Cheeze Beatz' tapestry of tones, upon which Wale rifles off bars about the connections between the streets and the Nats. "The season's long as shit," Wale raps, ahead of making deep references to a series of baseball players and ESPN commentators.

Winter has nearly arrived, but you can stream Wale's Boys of Summer-themed single down below.
