The Walkmen are no strangers to Christmas cheer. Years ago, the outfit released "Christmas Party," an eggnog-soaked holiday number that channelled the group's patented underdog indie rock through the sounds of sleigh bells and heartbreaking honky-tonk piano. This year, the band decided to get a little cheerier.

Performing from the A.V. Club's office studio, the quintet, with some donning St. Nick caps, blast through Lindsey Buckingham's synth-abilly '80s outing "Holiday Road,", from National Lampoon's Vacation. It's a little rough and ramshackle compared to the slick original, but frontman Hamilton Leithauser's cracked croon sells the song.
