The Walkmen Already Set to Reunite at NBA All-Star Charity Concert

Well, that didn't last long. Following an announcement of an "extreme hiatus" last year and some supposedly "final" shows, the Walkmen are already reuniting.

Next month, the dapper indie rock darlings will reform to play a Rock on Foundation Alt-Star Party charity show during the NBA All-Star Weekend, the non-profit confirms.

The concert will take place on February 15 at New Orleans's One Eyed Jacks and is being put on by the San Antonio Spurs' Matt Bonner, who founded Rock on Foundation with his brother Luke.

In a statement, Walkmen singer Hamilton Leithauser had this to say: "We thought it might take a lifetime to get us back together — til the Alt-Star Party gave us the nod. How could we stay on the bench? We're coming 110 percent. Full-court press. Man to man. Rock n Roll, Pick n Roll."

The quickest rock'n'roll reunion in history? Maybe, just maybe...

Proceeds from the event, which will also feature a DJ set from Chris Tomson of Vampire Weekend and the Cajun band Lost Bayou Ramblers, will support the Rock on Foundation, described as "a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage people to rock the things they love — whether that's sports, arts, or academics."
