Philadelphia indie rockers the War on Drugs received widespread acclaim for their 2014 LP Lost in the Dream, and are still out on the road supporting it with recent stops at festivals like Sasquatch! and Field Trip.

Well, it looks as if the band are ramping up to start working on some new material soon, as they've inked a two-album deal with Atlantic Records.

According to a recent interview in the Wall Street Journal, frontman Adam Granduciel and the band were sad to leave their indie label home at Secretly Canadian, but acknowledged that "being on a larger label brings a whole new set of resources and exposure."

Bassist Dave Hartley told the paper that following earlier more experimental sounds and a revolving lineup, Lost in the Dream marked the group hitting their stride as a band.

As Billboard points out, that album reached the 26th spot on the Billboard 200, as well as climbing to No. 4 on the Independent Albums chart and No. 6 on the Alternative Albums chart.
