Yo La Tengo's annual Bowery Ballroom Hanukkah residency always gifts fans with some surprise guests and fun covers, and this year is no different.
Last night (December 29), the band were joined by MJ Lenderman and the Wind. They opened the show before Lenderman returned to the stage to join Yo La Tengo for a cover of Bob Dylan's "Something There Is About You." They were also joined by Sonic Youth's Steve Shelley on drums.
The previous night, Yo La Tengo facilitated a Soft Boys reunion, with Robyn Hitchcock, Kimberley Rew and Morris Windsor taking the stage together.
