Tomorrow (November 2), the final Beatles track ever will be released at 10 a.m. ET, but the promotional content for "Now and Then" is still going strong. A 12-minute documentary about the song's completion has been uploaded to the band's YouTube channel.
Now and Then - The Last Beatles Song was written and directed by Oliver Murray, and shows footage of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison in the studio trying to rework John Lennon's demo in 1995. It credits the software Peter Jackson and his team used to restore Get Back with helping prep Lennon's demo for the finished product.
The doc also includes testimonials from McCartney, Starr, Sean Ono Lennon and Jackson — who will direct the "Now and Then" music video with unseen footage. It also has a few sneak peeks of what the song will sound like. Watch it below.
