Yesterday (February 15), Alexisonfire made their comeback official by releasing their first new song in a decade, "Familiar Drugs," and announcing new tour dates. Keeping the surprises coming, they capped the day off by playing an unannounced set at the Rec Room in Toronto.
Following performances by Casper Skulls, Greys and Chastity, Chastity frontman Brandon Williams took to the stage in lieu of an encore to introduce Alexisonfire, who played three songs from their back catalogue.
Alexisonfire kicked things off with "We Are the Sound" from their 2006 album Crisis, followed by "Pulmonary Archery" from their 2002 self-titled debut. The band concluded their short set by teaming up with Williams for Crisis lead single "This Could Be Anywhere in the World."
