Beyoncé opened today's massive memorial for Kobe and Gianna Bryant, which is being held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Bey was the first to perform, starting with a rendition of "XO." She paused after the first few lines to address the crowd.
"I'm here because I love Kobe and this was one of his favorite songs," she said. "So I want to start that over but I want us to do it all together, and I want you to sing it so loud that he'll hear your love."
After "XO," she performed "Halo."
Beyoncé's performance was followed by speeches from Jimmy Kimmel and Bryant's widow Vanessa. Alicia Keys also performed later during the event.
