HAIM hinted at a new song with the initials "S.G." yesterday (July 17), and last night they revealed the secret by performing a track called "Summer Girl" at a show in Los Angeles.
They played at the Teragram Ballroom, and footage has now surfaced of the new song.
Acknowledging the similarities between the bass line and "doo doo doo's" of "Walk on the Wild Side," Danielle Haim dedicated the track to the late Lou Reed.
The song is the band's first since their 2017 sophomore album Something to Tell You, though they have collaborated with artists like Twin Shadow, Gesaffelstein, the Lonely Island and Vampire Weekend since.
