Coming in the wake of a recent Juno nomination, Leonard Cohen's posthumous Thanks for the Dance is being gifted with a new video. It comes for the album track "Moving On."
The video was done by Laure Prouvost and collaborator Ciarán Wood, serving as a tribute to Hydra — the Greek island that served as a refuge and retreat for Cohen throughout his life.
"There's a nostalgic Mediterranean romance in the music and the vocal delivery," said the late songwriter's son Adam Cohen in a statement. "We wanted to conjure the narrator's memories of Hydra, Greece, put him back in the house where he wrote 'Bird on a Wire' with the ghostly presence of Marianne in the next room."
You can watch the "Moving On" video below.
As previously reported, Leonard Cohen's Thanks for the Dance is nominated for a Juno Award for Adult Alternative Album of the Year.
