Watch Metallica Bassist's 12-Year-Old Son Slap the Bass with Korn

Tye Trujillo is performing with the band on their South American tour

Korn recently recruited the low-end talents of Tye Trujillo, the 12-year-old son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, for their tour of South America in the wake of longtime bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu not making the trek. Now footage has emerged from Tye's first performance with the group.

Kicking off the run of dates last night (April 17) in Bogotá, Colombia, Tye more than held his own through a set that included Korn classics such as "Freak on a Leash," "Good God" and "Shoots and Ladders," which fans note contained a snippet of Metallica's "One."

Below, you can find some fan footage of Tye's performance, in which he works in a few solid hair windmills as well. As previously reported, Arvizu is expected to be back with the band for an upcoming North American tour.

As part of that trek, Korn are set to play Toronto on July 25 at the Budweiser Stage. You can see the band's complete upcoming itinerary over here, and read our Essential Guide to Korn here.
