Decades into his career, Canadian pop culture legend Nardwuar the Human Serviette is as energetic as ever. This week, he's delivered interviews with the Lemon Twigs, Redman and Vince Staples. Still, to prove he's always had his finger on the pulse, Nard has now shared a television appearance he shot some 22 years ago.
In 1995, a camera crew was treated to a tour of Vancouver's CiTR 101.9FM by the Human Serviette himself. As the video proves, our hero remains unchanged over the years. Even back then, he was dropping references and talking a mile a minute.
In the video, viewable below, you'll see Nardwuar boast about CiTR's willingness to play vinyl and cassettes from independent bands while showcasing a special Beastie Boys skate deck that listeners could win if they designed the station a new logo. He's always been all about the "schwag."
Nardwuar has been hosting his CiTR show since 1987, and shared the video to promote the station's current funding drive. You can check it out in full below.
