With the release date of Spike Jonze's Beastie Boys Story slowly approaching, today we have a new full-length trailer to preview the documentary.
The new three-minute trailer shows the three Beastie Boys members, Ad-Rock (Adam Horovitz), Mike D (Michael Diamond) and the late MCA (Adam Yauch) in archival footage, spliced with new shots of the remaining members speaking about how they came to be the powerhouse hip-hop group they were.
"We went from being famous in a 14 block radius to being on tour with Madonna and Rick Rubin," Diamond says at one point in the trailer, noting that when they started out, they were "mediocre at best."
Beastie Boys Story debuts in IMAX on April 2, ahead of a global release through Apple TV+ on April 24. The film was directed by Jonze and co-written by Jonze, Mike D and Horovitz.
