Wavves has long been way ahead of the curve with pop-punk revival, and now he's inevitably teamed up with Travis Barker on new album Spun, which will be supported with a North American tour.
Spun will be out June 6 via project lead Nathan Williams's own Ghost Ramp label. The new single is "Goner," which was produced by Barker; it's unclear if the blink-182 drummer worked any of more of Spun. Previously released single "So Long" will also be on the album.
Williams said in a statement, "I had this song I had been sitting on, always revisited it and tried to record it a bunch of times but it was never just right. Eventually it was giving me PTSD. I was talking to Travis about doing some songs together and when I opened up the vault to him, this one jumped out so we laid it down and finally we got it right."
Check out a video for "Goner," directed by Brandon Dermer, below. Also below, see Wavves' North American tour schedule. In addition to US shows, the band will play Toronto on July 8 and Montreal the day after.
