Last September, Weakerthans main man John K. Samson talked to Exclaim! about his new seven-inch series, based on roads and highways in Manitoba. He released the first instalment, City Route 85, soon after, and he is now getting ready to roll out the follow-up, Provincial Road 222.
Punknews.org reports that the release, which is coming out on seven-inch and digital formats, will be out September 21 via Epitaph/Anti-. Like its predecessor, it will be released on Grand Hotel Van Cleef in Europe.
For the seven-inch, Samson will be backed by the Correction Line Ensemble, a six-piece group that includes folk pop songstress Christine Fellows.
Stay tuned for further details about Provincial Road 222.
