The Weeknd to Remix Florence and the Machine

It's already been a big week for Florence and the Machine, what with the details delivered of the project's upcoming Ceremonials LP and the unveiling of new single "Shake It Out." But there's even more to get excited about than we initially thought. Reports have just surfaced that Florence Welch has tapped Toronto-based R&B whiz kid the Weeknd for a forthcoming collaboration.

A post made this morning (September 15) on Florence and the Machine's website explains that before Ceremonials pops up in stores on November 1, Welch will issue "Shake It Out" as a digital single that will feature a remix from the Weeknd. The single, which will be released via iTunes on October 2, will also feature a reimagining of the track from Italian dance DJ Benny Benassi.

We'll have to wait and see if the Weeknd adds his own smooth yet somewhat sinister sex-styles to the track, but for now, you can listen to the original version of the uplifting pop number below.
