Weezer and The Simpsons are both pop culture properties that most people wish would have ended in the '90s, so it's almost surprising that their paths have never crossed. That will change this weekend when Weezer debut a new song on a new episode of The Simpsons.

The episode is called "The Hateful Eight Year-Olds" and will see Weezer appear as a cover band called Sailor's Delight. The band will perform tunes from Weezer (The Black Album) and Pacific Daydream in the episode, as well as a new song called "Blue Dream" that is set to appear on their forthcoming new release  Van Weezer.

The episode is set to appear on Sunday (May 10) at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. Until then, you can watch Weezer blast through the Simpsons theme song below. The same episode will also feature cast members of Riverdale.

Van Weezer had its release date postponed. It's unclear when it will arrive, but they also shared the new song "Hero" earlier this week.
