"Weird Al" Yankovic has conquered the worlds of pop-music parody and polka medleys, and now he's taking on a new frontier: self-described "authentic American folk music."
Okay, not actually, but this was part of a performance that the funnyman gave on The Late Late Show with guest host Thomas Lennon. While joined by Lennon on guitar, Yankovic claimed to be paying tribute to the folk greats by performing a supposed Woody Guthrie cover. This song turned out to be all about Yankovic's upcoming tour, and the whole thing culminated in an accordion jam. Al was also interviewed.
Watch the show below. The interview stars around 15:30, while the music performance is just after the 33-minute mark.
