Jack White of the White Stripes produced Do Rabbits Wonder? and the band has gained a decent amount of attention as a result, allowing the group to ride comfortably on Jack’s red and white coattails. Inspired originally by the likes of Mudhoney and the Melvins, Whirlwind Heat’s music lurches with unhinged synthesisers, twisted vocals, and bass-heavy riffs, veering from amusing to grating. Do Rabbits Wonder? offers the auditory equivalent of mixing barbiturates with cheap whiskey.
