White Fence Reissues Self-Titled Debut on Drag City Offshoot God?

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 2, 2013

Though White Fence (aka California singer-songwriter Tim Presley) just delivered his latest LP Cyclops Reap last month, the steadily prolific Ty Segall collaborator is getting ready to revisit the not-so-distant past via a re-release of his self-titled debut. Drag City side-label God? slides the platter back into stores July 16.

While White Fence is currently available on CD through Woodsist, the original vinyl pressing on Make a Mess Records has gone out of print since its pressing back in 2010. The 16-song lo-fi start to Presley's career as White Fence features '60s pop-seeped songs that "warp and ripple as if something had gone awry with the tape machine."

You can sample the opening psychedelic jangler "Mr. Adams" down below.

As previously reported, White Fence hits the road this summer and will play Vancouver's Biltmore Cabaret with Jessica Pratt on August 5. You can see the rest of the dates here.
