White Lung Cancel Canadian Dates Due to Immigration Issues

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 8, 2015

In the next couple of weeks, Vancouver-bred punks White Lung had been set to swing through Canada as part of their North American tour with Obliterations. Unfortunately, immigration issues mean that the band have had to axe their shows in their homeland.

White Lung had been due to play Montreal with Obliterations on June 17, and then make a couple of Toronto appearances for NXNE on June 19 and 20. In a Facebook message, the band gave this explanation for their cancellation:

I am sorry to announce that we can not make the Canadian dates on this tour. [Frontwoman] Mish [Way] is in an immigration purgatory that was supposed to be settled. We are so disappointed we can't come play our home country, but Obliterations will still be playing! Thanks for understanding xx White Lung

Although White Lung are Canadian, Way (centre in the photo above) has been living in Los Angeles with husband Austin Barber of Obliterations.
