Just in time for hammock season, Vancouver's White Poppy (a.k.a. Crystal Dorval) has issued her latest whimsical set of airy, ambient pop: Drifter's Gold.
The seven-song release comes ahead of an as-yet-detailed full-length due in August and finds Dorval furthering her ethereal blend of obscured vocal musings, morning dew-dripping guitar trickles and down-soft soundscaping. A press release states that the songs "take their inspiration from everyday life and the sadness of inner confusion," but the EP's nature is more tranquil than downtrodden.
You can check it out down below.
Drifter's Gold is available as a free digital download today only (July 2) and as part of a three-tape bundle, which also includes a cassette by Sawi Lieu and a split between Aloonaluna and Motion Sickness of Time Travel. You can pick up the physical edition over here via Constellation Tatsu.
