Two years removed from the release Whitechapel's self-titled set, the Knoxville, TN sextet have announced the next step in their metal evolution. Dubbed Our Endless War, the band's next album charges our way April 29 through Metal Blade.
It's explained in a press release for the platter, their fifth full-length overall, that writing sessions behind the LP began last February, with the outfit taking their time on crafting "dramatic, incredibly heavy walls of thrilling noise," steered by the band's three-guitar lineup.
Guitarist Alex Wade noted that the album "takes the sound we have been developing over the past eight years of our career and pushes it to new levels," adding that the 12-song set features "dashes of every record we have done so far mixed with the intensity of a new sound." Adding to the mix of old and new, the album was once again produced by longtime studio collaborator Mark Lewis (Kataklysm, Six Feet Under).
Pre-orders for the set are already up for sale over here.
