Who knows how long it will take Kings of Convenience to return, but judging from this latest project of red-coiffed King Erlend Øye it could be a while. Originally formed in 2003 as an electronic act, WBA have progressed into a full-fledged, organic pop band in the vein of an electrified KoC. With a solid rhythm section, Øye’s customary twee tone and a vibe akin to the Postcard Records roster of the ’80s, maybe a rest from Eirik Glambek Bøe isn’t such a bad idea.
