Following a pair of stand-up 2010 releases, the Gemini album and Golden Haze EP, Jack Tatum's Wild Nothing project have announced that they will return with a new single next month. Due out on February 21 via Captured Tracks, the seven-inch will feature the new track "Nowhere" on the A-side and "Wait" on the flip, with the former now freely available to hear online.
In the player below, you can stream and/or download "Nowhere," which features some vocals and instrumentation from Andrea Estella of Twin Sister. Despite the added musical muscle, the track doesn't quite hit the same sweet spot as that older Wild Nothing material, toning down the atmospherics for a more straight-laced, Sarah Records-indebted approach. Still, if you're a fan, you'd be wise to see check out where Tatum is planning to take Wild Nothing in 2012.
The Wild Nothing seven-inch is limited to 500 copies on white vinyl, and you can pre-order a copy here. The band are apparently working on the next full-length, which will arrive sometime later this year.
