Between his solo output and his work with Roll Deep, UK grime pioneer Wiley has averaged at least an album a year over the last decade. Clearly, the rapper has more to give. We already knew about his forthcoming set 100% Publishing, but it turns out he has an EP's worth of material to drop too.
Though neither a tracklisting nor a firm release date have been set, a press release explains that the tentatively titled Evolve or Be Extinct has been pegged by label Big Dada for a late summer release. The quickie set is said to contain a Diplo-produced track called "Cookie Pie" that was recorded when the two met up in Jamaica to work on some Major Lazer material. A "shockingly frank and funny" number named "Weirdo" will also feature on the EP, as well as "several more gems that Wiley is currently polishing."
While we wait for more details, remember, 100% Publishing comes out July 4. Look for an upcoming stream on Exclaim! beginning June 27.
