A Wilhelm Scream

Mute Print

The artists formerly known as Smackin Isaiah adopt a less blasphemous handle and actually become more belligerent in the process. The sophomore effort from this Massachusetts fishing village under the new name is a melodic, aggressive cross between the gravel-voiced punk of icons like Dillinger Four, Avail and Hot Water Music and the Iron Maiden/metal-inspired hardcore of Strung Out. With production duties handled by Bill Stevenson and his Blasting Room crew, the songs throb forth from the speakers and get right in your face and directly into your ears daring the listener to ignore them. Intense and immediate melodic punk rock of the kind we need so much more.
