William Shatner

"Iron Man" (Black Sabbath cover) (ft. Zakk Wylde)

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Sep 9, 2011

In case you forgot, William Shatner has one crazy-sounding album heading our way. Dubbed Seeking Major Tom, the double album features such guests as Queen guitarist Brian May, Bootsy Collins, Strokes' six-stringer Nick Valensi and Ash Ra Tempel guitar god Manuel Göttsching, all of whom help the Shat take on tracks such as Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," Thomas Dolby's "She Blinded Me With Science" and, um, Tea Party's "Empty Glass."

Another high-profile guest on the album is Black Label Society guitar hero Zakk Wylde, who lends his six-string to Shatner's take on Black Sabbath's "Iron Man." Well, if you're curious on the results of that track, you can now listen to it below. It's kind of left us speechless, to be honest, and it's probably best you hear this beast for yourself.

Seeking Major Tom is due out on October 11 via Cleopatra.

Thanks to Revolver for the hook-up.
