Wintersleep

'Hello Hum' (album stream)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 5, 2012

Wintersleep have kept up a steady output over the past decade, and Hello Hum is the East Coast pop rock unit's fifth full-length. It's slated to drop on June 12 via Capitol/EMI, but before it officially arrives on shelves, you can stream the entire record here at Exclaim.ca.

When recording the album at Tarbox Road Studios in Cassadaga, NY, the band got some help from producer Tony Doogan (Belle and Sebastian, Mogwai) and Dave Fridmann (the Flaming Lips, MGMT, Weezer). This resulted in what a press release describes as "glowing melodies... backed by rhythms that can stand as the skeletons of songs or be studied for their subtle complexities."

The album's early singles have showcased the collection's blend of pop melodies and textural eccentricity. Now, you can hear all of the new tunes by streaming the collection below.

Wintersleep are currently in the midst of a North American tour that includes Canadian dates, so be sure to check out their schedule here.

UPDATE: This stream was available for one week only and is no longer available.
