Wintersleep Set Sights on New LP

BY Alex HudsonPublished Dec 10, 2010

Wintersleep released their raw, rocking New Inheritors back in the spring, promoting it with an extensive world tour and music videos. Now, the hard-working Halifax band have set their sights on their next album, as they have begun working on new material.

In an interview with Blare Magazine, drummer Loel Campbell explained, "We're going to start recording again next month. We've got a crazy amount of song ideas kicking around, so we hope to build around those and begin building a new record."

There's no word as to what the new album will sound like, but frontman Paul Murphy previously told Exclaim!, "With every record, we move closer to how we sound live."

Although the band will be working on new material, they haven't finished promoting New Inheritors quite yet. In February 2011, they will head to UK with the Hold Steady before heading out on a European tour. After that, Campbell said, "We'll probably be doing the festival scene in full swing."
