Wintersleep keyboardist Jon Samuel releases his latest solo album Dead Melodies next week, and he's teasing its arrival with a video for a title track.
The clip was shot in an old house in Nova Scotia, and it features a number of Samuel's close friends and members of the local arts community — though they're mostly hidden behind masks.
"The 'Dead Melodies' video is about the often disaffected and mysterious relationship people have with art," Samuel tells Exclaim! "But there is a less weighty narrative hidden with its framework. Something more positive beneath the surface."
The accompanying imagery is part dreamy, part spooky, and totally surreal. Watch the video for "Dead Melodies" below.
