The second of Matthew Herbert's three performances at this year's MUTEK festival was a DJ set under old moniker Wishmountain. Delightfully wonky but fully danceable, Herbert spun a seamless vinyl set that included some lesser-known tracks, some underground classics and some bravely-picked non-dancefloor oddballs like Alva Noto's collaboration with Anne-James Chaton on Raster-Noton. It was a great set by one of electronic music's genius oddballs, and a great finish to Thursday's night of programming.
