Following its Winter Ball in Toronto earlier this year, Wolfe Island Music Festival is heading back to its Kingston-area home for an annual summer bash.

The lineup for 2019's edition of the festival features performances by Born Ruffians, the Sadies, NQ Arbuckle, Jim Bryson, Ice Cream, Charlotte Cornfield, Emilie Steele, Joe McLeod, the Mill Rights and Piner.

This year, the event will take place at a single venue on the island, St. Margaret's Hall in Marysville Village.

The move is an homage to the late Canadian music publicist Darryl Weeks, who passed away earlier this year.

"He was a key member of our festival and last year he really loved our showcase at St. Margaret's Hall with the Weather Station, so we are returning to that same venue in his honour," the festival's artistic director Virginia Clark said in a statement. "It is going to be a hall party! Lots of fun and super intimate with a great mix of local artists with some Canadian legends."

The two-day festival runs across August 9 and 10. Tickets to the event go on sale this Wednesday (June 19) and will be available here.
