Woodhands Release Dancer EP

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Feb 11, 2009

Well, by the looks of things, those Woodhands dudes have no plans to shut down their electro sex party, at least not anytime soon. In the coming months, the Toronto duo have lined up a new EP, a handful of North American tour dates, an even bigger number of international dates and a new cover of, er, Eddy Grant's "Electric Avenue."

While you can already get that sexed-up Grant cover over at today's Click Hear for the price of free, Woodhands' new digital EP of remixes, reworks and redoes is set for release March 3 courtesy of Paper Bag Digital. On it, you'll find seven re-styled versions of the Heart Attack track "Dancer," with label-mate CFCF lending a remix, as well as artists such as Reeseman Kackalak, Soundsmith and DJ Rexford.

As for that touring business, Woodhands have a few dates scheduled for later this month, including stops in Montreal, Quebec City, Sherbrooke and two in New York. The band are also trekking back down to SXSW this spring, and soon after that will be launching another North American tour before heading to China, Japan and the UK.

Here's the tracklisting for the Dancer EP, as well as the scheduled Woodhands dates so far:
