Woods Announce 'Bend Beyond' LP

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 19, 2012

Woods tend to release albums at a steady one-a-year pace, and 2012 looks to be no different for the prolific psych-folk troupe. On September 18, the group will release their latest LP, Bend Beyond, via Woodsist Records.

This is the follow-up to last year's Sun and Shade. According to a press release, Bend Beyond marks something of a departure for Woods; while previous sessions favoured spontaneity and immediacy, the band strove to make this collection sound more like their live shows. It was produced by singer Jeremy Earl and multi-instrumentalist Jarvis Taveniere in upstate New York in fall 2011.

The tracklist is currently still under wraps, but all will doubtless be revealed in the coming months. The lead single will be made available on seven-inch vinyl when the band hit the road in August. They currently don't have any Canadian dates, but expect more shows to be added for the fall.
