Woods Announce Split LP with Amps for Christ

BY Alex HudsonPublished Feb 15, 2012

Woods have been releasing new albums at a steady one-a-year pace for the last few years, and while the official follow-up to 2011's Sun and Shade has yet to be announced, the lo-fi folk rockers have announced a split LP with experimental noise project Amps for Christ.

A press release notes that this record began as a split seven-inch, but this quickly grew into a full-length. It contains nine tracks: four from each act plus the psychedelic collaborative tune "From Oatmeal to Buttermilk," which you can hear at the bottom of this page via This Is Fake DIY.

A press release invited listeners to "check out the ESP interplay of Barnes & Earl when together or separated by coasts." You can do so when the CD comes out on April 17 or when the vinyl arrives on May 1, both through Shrimper.

On top of the split release, Woods also have lined up some new U.S. tour dates. You can see those below.
