Wu-Tang Clan Announce Western Canadian Dates

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 23, 2014

While there's apparently been a little tension within the Wu-Tang Clan's ranks lately, the long-running rap icons have announced a couple of Canadian tour dates this summer in support of their long-in-the-works album, A Better Tomorrow.

Today (April 22) it was revealed that the Clan will be coming to Canada for shows in Vancouver and Winnipeg. First up is a June 27 appearance at Winnipeg's Burton Cummings Theatre, with the West Coast date booked the next day at Vancouver's Orpheum Theatre. The dates come sandwiched between a couple of U.S. festival appearances.

You can see all of the upcoming Wu dates down below.

The Canadian concerts are being staged by Exclaim!, along with partners Timbre Concerts, GMAN & RIZK, Regime and HipHopCanada. Tickets go on-sale this Friday (April 25) at 10 a.m. local time over here or at various physical ticket retailers.

While an official street date has yet to be locked down for A Better Tomorrow, it was recently reported that Raekwon was questioning the direction of the LP, telling producer/rapper RZA that the crew needs "a new fucking game plan." RZA had previously criticized his bandmate for being absent during recording sessions.

Of course, there is also the group's extremely limited The Wu - Once Upon a Time in Shaolin headed our way as well.

Tour dates:

05/31 Houston, TX - Eleanor Tinsley Park (Summerfest)
06/27 Winnipeg, MB - Burton Cummings Theatre
06/28 Vancouver, BC - The Orpheum
08/15-17 Somerset, WI - Somerset Amphitheatre (Summerset Music Festival)
