Los Angeles-based synth-pop outfit YACHT announced the title of their forthcoming I Thought the Future Would Be Cooler in a rather unusual fashion, with a billboard. Now, they've taken a similarly unique approach to unveiling the tracklist, since they've shared it as a series of 11 GIFs on BuzzFeed.
The list of GIFs is entitled "11 Ways We Thought the Future Would Be Cooler." Regarding this inventive presentation, the band wrote, "It's 2015 and the album is dead, the novel is dead, but the GIF loops forever." The GIFs are all colourful and artsy, and they feature the song titles alongside images like a cat pawing at a mirror, Will Farrell's tiny-cellphone character from Saturday Night Live, a man attempting to copulate with an exhaust pipe, Tupac's hologram and more.
