Opera-influenced psych rockers Yamantaka//Sonic Titan stunned many with their heady YT//ST LP late last year, and now a new video for album track "Hoshi Neko" continues the Toronto act's head-scratchingly awesome journey.
The black and white, cut-and-paste animation clip was put together by singer Ruby Kato Attwood and animator Emily Pelstring, with artwork hand drawn by Attwood. The vid initially finds a cute kitty mowing down on a tasty koi fish, who then proceeds to navigate the feline's insides before coming out the other end.
Highly insulted, the ghost of the sea creature teams up with a bone-gnawing pug to take on the offender in a high-speed chase across the cosmos... and it only gets weirder from there.
You can check out the imaginative and straight-up gorgeous video, scored by the melancholic prog poundings of Yamantaka//Sonic Titan, down below.
