Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) has just released a track in honour of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. A play on Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Niggas in Paris," "Niggas in Poorest" sees Bey rapping over what was probably the most-played live track of 2011.
Bey's version lacks a little in production quality, but it's nice to hear a new take on the Jay and Ye tune. The new track reportedly marks the beginning of a project from Bey that will see the rapper reworking a number of hit songs in a series he's calling "Top 40 Underdog."
