Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Machine

After being labelled the "it” band by press from every land, Yeah Yeah Yeahs have a chance to further themselves. To this point, Machine is only their second release. Their debut self-titled EP was a mad piece of raw funk punk and it was easy to see why everyone was drooling. Machine furthers their impressive resume. Blinding riffs with scattered drumbeats are all Karen O needs to make her screeches and moans heard; sounding like it was recorded on an answering machine, it is trashy at its best. The B-sides are less impressive, but still full of grit and panache. "Graveyard” is a lo-fi blues explosion unto itself and "Pin (Remix)” is a lost fucking about of looped babbling and guitars put on delay. Machine is three tracks of sexy, trashed-up rock set to get you ready for the debut album, which will feature all brand new material.
